THE STORY
Angove Family Winemakers was founded in 1886 by Dr. William Thomas Angove, an emigrant from Cornwall, England who had moved with his family to a settlement in Australia for medical practice. While he treat his patient, he also making wine most red blends. Was much changed over last 127 years, Angove Family Winemaker become the world famous wine producer.
2012 was a steady ripening year with good winter/spring rains setting up excellent vine canopies. It is the best in decade. So Angove Family Winery decided to make Dr. Angove Special Bland Recipe to commemorate Dr. Angove.

GRAPE VARIETIES/葡萄品种:
50% Shiraz (Barossa),30% Grenache (Mc Laren),20% Petit Verdot

WINE-MAKING/葡萄酒酿造
Each of the three varieties was picked only when they tasted absolutely perfect. Picked in the cool of the night and then crushed and de-stemmed, each parcel was fermented according to taste. Maturation in American oak following pressing, with the assemblage coordinated in late 2012.

Deep, brooding intense purple in colour, the aromas of this wine are typical of the variety and the region. Bitter chocolate and thyme combine with French oak and liquorice to produce a complex and intriguing wine.

The palate is tight and sinuous with unbelievable length and outstanding finish.

THE STORY
As Angove Family Winemakers celebrates its 125th anniversary, it is the perfect time to commemorate the event with the release of a new super premium Shiraz. The release dutifully recognizes the founder of the company, Dr William Thomas Angove, and his birthplace of Cornwall with Medhyk being Cornish for Doctor.
